What did you want to be when you grew up?
For a long time I wanted to be President. But secretly, I always wanted to be a writer.
What were your favourite and worst subjects at school?
My favourite subject was English, and my worst was maths.
Where do you write?
On a computer in my very messy office in the attic of my Victorian house.
Do you type your stories on the computer?
Yes, but I also write in notebooks and by hand. Depends where I am.
Who is your favourite writer?
My favourite author as a child was Edward Eager, who wrote about magic adventures. My favourite author now is Anthony Trollope, a Victorian novelist who wrote 47 very long books.
What is your favourite food?
I love artichokes and scallops (just not at the same time). I also love coffee ice cream.
What is your least favourite food?
Beetroot.
What is your favourite colour?
Aquamarine.
What do you do in your spare time?
I like to read, cook, go to the theatre, and meet up with friends.
What is your favourite film?
Singing in the Rain.
Where is your favourite place for holidays?
