Exciting new series of books about Vikings coming soon from Francesca Simon

Publishers Faber and Profile have just announced that they will be publishing a brand new series by Francesca Simon.

The books, which are for a middle grade audience, feature a band of terrible Vikings led by terror twins Hack and Whack.

Francesca said of the new series, “Imagine a world where parents want you to be bad. I’ve always loved Norse mythology and Viking history and it has been so much fun creating Hack and Whack’s adventurous world. I’m also thrilled that Steve May is doing the illustrations. He is so brilliant at capturing manic energy and wild humour.”

Two Terrible Vikings will be illustrated by Steve May and published in February 2021. Publication was initially scheduled for 2020 but moved on due to the Covid-19. You can find out more here
