Hachette Children’s Group has just announced a brand-new collection of Horrid Henry stories from author Francesca Simon will be published in 2019.
Horrid Henry: Up, Up and Away will be the 25th book in the internationally best-selling series. It will be published next year, marking the 25th anniversary of the first book being published. It will also contain the 100th Horrid Henry story and will be illustrated by Tony Ross, who has illustrated all of the Horrid Henry books.
The new book will be published on 21st March 2019, with four brand new stories inside: Horrid Henry: Up, Up and Away, Horrid Henry Changes History, Horrid Henry Steals the Show and Horrid Henry and the Zoom of Doom.
Francesca says: ‘It was a great joy for me to drop back into Horrid Henry’s world, and rediscover all the reasons I’ve always loved writing about him. Twenty-five books, twenty-five years and 100 stories seemed the perfect way to round off Henry’s gleeful, devil-may-care adventures.’
The new book comes alongside a re-design of all the core storybooks in the Horrid Henry backlist, which will be re-released throughout 2019. With a bright bold new logo and jacket design, and new cover artwork from Tony Ross, this classic series is being brought bang up to date for its 25th birthday.
Since it was first released in 1994, Horrid Henry has become an internationally bestselling phenomenon, with translations into 31 languages and over 21 million copies sold.
