Francesca and Louis at home – about to appear on Blue Peter

On 23rd February Francesca was due to appear on Blue Peter to talk about World Book Day and her special £1 book, Horrid Henry Funny Fact Files. But Storm Doris had other ideas… The UK was ravaged by winds of up to 90mph which meant all trains in and out of London Euston were cancelled. There was no way that Francesca could travel all the way from her home in London to the studios in Manchester in time.

Instead Francesca appeared live via video link from her home! Here she is with Louis, who made his first ever appearance on TV.

Francesca is one of a small number of people to have been honoured by the show with a gold Blue Peter badge!
